Spring wire is a type of steel wire that is used to make springs and other parts that need to be able to withstand high levels of stress and tension. It is made from a high-carbon steel spring wire that has been heat treated to give it extra strength.
Phosphating Steel Wire is the process of converting a steel surface to iron phosphate. Phosphate coatings are usually applied to carbon steel, low-alloy steel and cast iron. The coating is formed with a solution of iron, zinc or manganese phosphate salts in phosphoric acid, and is applied either by spraying the solution onto the substrate or by immersing the substrate into the solution. This is mostly used as a pretreatment method in conjunction with another method of corrosion protection. A layer of phosphate coating typically includes iron, zinc or manganese crystals.
